This year has been pretty tough for a lot of people. Arguably, for some people, the toughest year yet. It's really shown us how important it is to come together and support each other. At Deane, we're all about embracing this spirit, especially during the festive season when a little extra compassion goes a long way.

At Deane, company-wide events have always been a cornerstone of our culture. They provide us with opportunities to celebrate success and connect with each other. However, over time, these events had lost some of their sparkle. Recognizing this, we decided to breathe new life into our celebrations.

OACIS are new international ground handling company, with a focus on off airport check-in. They have recently arrived on the scene in Auckland, making a name for themselves by taking on ground handling contracts for the second and third largest airlines, Qantas & Fiji Airways, arriving and departing out of Auckland International Airport.

As we reflect on the past year, we stop and savour one of our biggest accolades yet - winning the prestigious Operational Excellence Award at Air New Zealand’s annual Tūhono Supplier Awards.

One of the things that surprises newcomers to Deane Apparel is how long people stay with us. Another is the network of family connections within the company.

We often refer to Deane as a family, in part because so many staff have been with us since dial-up internet was a novelty. When we asked around, though, even we were surprised at just how long some of the Deane team have served.
